We build websites, from business start-ups to sophisticated high level websites.

We also do SEO, social media, copywriting, and most things digital marketing or website related.

Website project management is a high attention to detail role. You cannot fake attention to detail, you either have it, or you don’t.

Don’t waste your time or ours if that’s not you.

From when a new client comes on board, to the briefing, data collation and tracking, guidance with the client for the layout and website functionality, and then through to design concepts, and then onto tasking and liaising with the design and build team for the actual build and implementation.

This is a marketing ideas role, and a communication role requiring good interpersonal skills.

EG: In a recent simple project the client had 3 primary services, hats, shirts and badges. In the design layout and function briefing it was d ---------- we were to create 3 primary ‘doorway’ buttons on one row on the homepage linking to those product pages.

The client then requested a 4th button to showcase suppliers.

We could do that, add a 4th button on that one row, no problems.

But, was that a good marketing or design decision? Was it going to be in the client’s best interest?

Should that page have the same priority as the 3 main product pages?

What would your response have been to that client’s request?

We have broken the website build process into 10 distinct stages, from project setup and client onboarding right through to design and build and onto quality assurance, a clear ‘go live’ process and handover steps to project completion rap up.

There are 560 specific steps in this process, and it’s the project managers role to make sure they’re all adhered to in their fullness but a timely manner to deliver a high-end product.

Software we use:
• Teamwork: For client communication, project management, time tracking.
• Zoom
• Slack for team comms
• WHMCS for client support
• Process St for ALL processes and systems
• Trello for tasking
• RoboForm for password management
• OneDrive for all file assets

What does your day look like?
• Morning check in – Daily Focus session
• Check emails for project notifications, respond
• Follow up with clients
• Follow up with team, and check tasks previously assigned
• Ensure that new project tasks are assigned to team
• Liaise with clients
• Handle brief questionnaires with clients
• Handle layout and function briefings with clients
• Check off that process has been adhered to
• Manage team and resources

Here’s the question:

Can you see your existing skills sets being suited to these daily tasks?

We have a local tech, who handles the phones, helps in support and also does our SEO.

We have another local tech, who handles the hosting, website version updates, managed support and all things WordPress for clients.

We have several designers and web build dev’s who handles the design concepts, and the actual build as such.

We also have a remote marketing person, who is our CRM specialist on the team.

There is also a content marketing and social media specialist.

So, is that you?

Remember, don’t theorise about this!

Website project management is a high attention to detail role. You cannot fake attention to detail, you either have it, or you don’t.

Don’t waste your time or ours if that’s not you.
