Shopify Developer — Fine Art Logistics Booking System
Job Title: Shopify Developer | Hulk Product Options + Cowlendar + QuickBooks Integration
Job Overview:
We're a fine art transportation and white-glove logistics company operating across California. We need an experienced Shopify developer to build a custom booking and quoting system for our website — this is not a typical product store. We move specific items under specific conditions (fine art, sculpture, luxury furniture), and the site needs to capture detailed item specs, apply fixed pricing rules with surcharges, route bookings into our scheduling calendar, and handle multiple payment paths.
What You'll Be Building:

A multi-step intake flow: service area routing (in-state instant booking vs. out-of-state/quote-needed), item category selection, and detailed conditional questions per item type (dimensions, weight tiers, framing, stairs, fragility, installation needs)
Complex fixed-price logic (not percentage-based) across dozens of item types, with tiered surcharges for size, weight, stairs, and installation
An automatic 10% discount rule on furniture/décor subtotals ?$1,000, scoped to exclude certain line items
Calendar/scheduling integration tied to pickup region and route days, with capacity limits and blackout dates
Multiple payment paths (Zelle, card/PayPal/Venmo via QuickBooks, check) with different booking/confirmation behavior for each
Automated internal notifications to our logistics team with full job details, including for quote-only requests

Apps You'll Configure:

Hulk Product Options (Advanced Plan) — conditional item logic, pricing, order metadata
Cowlendar (Ultra Plan) — scheduling, Google Calendar sync, SMS/email reminders
QuickBooks Online + ---------- — payment links and invoicing

Requirements:
Proven experience building and customizing Shopify stores (portfolio required)
Strong with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with Hulk Product Options or similar conditional-logic apps
Experience integrating booking/calendar apps (Cowlendar or similar) with Shopify
Experience with ---------- automation and QuickBooks integration
Comfortable working from a detailed written spec and asking clarifying questions when something's ambiguous
Strong written English for back-and-forth on logic edge cases

Nice to Have:
Experience with service-based or quote-based Shopify stores (not standard retail)
Familiarity with Shopify order metadata / metafields
Experience with Google Calendar API or similar sync tools
