Developer needed: take over or rebuild a bespoke CRM

We run a memorial masonry business and have a custom CRM that manages the full customer lifecycle: enquiries, quotes, jobs, payments, contacts, suppliers and documents. The core flow is Enquiry, Quote, Job, Invoice.
A developer built it to its current state but progress stalled, so we are looking for someone competent who can either take it forward or rebuild it cleanly. There are two paths and you can apply for either.

Path 1: Take over the existing app
Step into the current build, stabilise it, finish the remaining features, and maintain it going forward. Just as important, you must be able to explain how it works and flag the critical parts we need to worry about if something breaks. It runs on AWS ECS (Docker), S3 and a Neon (Postgres) database.

Path 2: Build your own version from scratch
You do not touch the old code. You design and build your own version of the core quote-to-order workflow in whatever stack you prefer. Budget for this path is $2k tops, so tell us what you can realistically deliver for that and what you would phase later.


The core workflow either path must nail

Quotes that pull live prices and dimensions automatically
Stages Draft, Ready, Presented, Accepted on a drag and drop pipeline (GoHighLevel style)
Editable, re-issuable quotes with versioning
Unique reference M ---------- (M, number, year, rolls over every April)
A polished customer-facing quote that looks like a prepared PDF
Accepting a quote creates an invoice (via Xero), it must NOT mark it as paid
Willcox Granite for pricing and material ordering, plus inbound email capture
