Visual Web Designer

We are seeking a talented and versatile Visual Web Designer to create stunning user experiences for a landing page project. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for clean and artful design, coupled with superior user interface design skills. As a visual designer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the visual aspects of a company’s brand. You should be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs1.

Responsibilities
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off.
- Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex roadblocks.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design production assets, infographics, logos, and other items using creative software.
- Design interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and stakeholders.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Ensure that all visuals are engaging, high quality, and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Incorporate user research insights and usability feedback to improve design concepts and user interface design.

Skills & Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Web Designer.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, and Figma.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Strong ability to design with accessibility in mind.
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, and multimedia design.

Bonus Skills
- Experience working in Webflow development process.
- BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a Visual Arts subject.

Qualities
- A strong eye for visual design and composition.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good visual design sense, the ability to work well with clients’ requests.

Responsibilities specific to freelance web designer
- Create mock-ups for proposed project pages and update them as needed.
- Design and develop landing pages for various marketing efforts.
- Design and/or optimize graphics and visuals for websites while ensuring they are in line with client branding as well as best SEO practices.
- Work with Project Managers and clients to identify requirements and project goals.
- Test and verify with team members and clients that solutions will meet the business requirements.
- Participate in meetings with clients including creative meetings, design reviews, demos, and end-user training.
- Make functional graphics, digital proofing, UI/UX designs and visual concepts that catch the eye and inspire users.
- Build navigation-friendly wireframes, websites and mock-ups that are usable, persuasive and visually enticing.
- Curate aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly graphics for the client’s website.
