Virtual Insurance Assistant

Foursurance Agency is a U.S.-based personal lines insurance agency looking for an independent contractor or established company to serve as the Assistant to the Agency owner and the Account Manager. We are a close-knit, family-oriented company that is looking for an independent contractor or company to collaborate with our team and help us grow as we assist our New York-based clients with auto, home and other types of personal insurance. Our team will provide access to confidential business information with the goal of helping the contractor/company perform their services. Additional compensation will be provided if the contractor/company has or obtains the necessary license to quote, bind and service personal lines insurance policies in the state of New York. This is a full-remote opportunity.
Type of services involved:
• Answering customer service/other incoming calls
• Responding to text messages and voicemails from clients
• Noting client interactions in our online management system
• Scheduling client phone calls and meetings for tea ---------- mbers
• Downloading and organizing cloud-based documents
• Assigning tasks to appropriate tea ---------- mbers
• Data entry
• General customer service work (not requiring a license)
• Quote preparation, presentation and binding (if licensed)
Skills required:
• Strong command of the spoken and written English language
• Professional demeanor
• Strong organization skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to perform services in fast-paced environment
• Accurate reporting
• Microsoft Office 365 (OneDrive, Outlook and Word)
• PDF creation and editing
Basic organizational/legal requirements:
• Perform service generally during company hours of operation: M-F, 9 am EST U.S. to 5 pm EST U.S.
• It is preferred that independent contractor operate under a Limited Liability Company (or equivalent) and execute a legally binding contract whereby contractor provides monthly invoices to company and agrees to comply with all legal requirements of host country and New York State.
• Payment for invoices will be sent through TransferWise on a bi-weekly basis or monthly basis
• Contractor is permitted to provide services for other entities in and out of the insurance field as long as it does not disclose confidential information learned during the engagement.

Compensation: Market rate of $2.50 USD per hour for first 30 days (approximately 175 hours) which entails training/due diligence for company’s records and business model. Thereafter, $3.00 USD per hour performing customer and internal tasks (approximately 175 hours per month) plus year-end bonus equivalent to 175 hours of pay. Opportunity for additional compensation if contractor is licensed by New York State for personal lines insurance either initially or during term.

Engagement Expectation: Time sufficient to accomplish end result of customer services and internal tasks, estimated at 175 hours per month.
