Editorial Assistant - Career Advice Publication
About the Role:
We're hiring an Editorial Assistant to support
What You'll Do:
- Format and publish 10 articles every 2 weeks in Squarespace
- Add images, newsletter signup boxes, author bylines, tags, and categories to articles
- Create bi-weekly "Weekly Edition" pages showcasing our latest content
- Update the homepage when new editions are published
- Assemble and schedule
- Create simple lead magnets (PDF guides, calculators) as needed
Schedule & Pay:
Part-time: Up to 10 hours per week
Rate: $5/hour
Flexible schedule, but must meet bi-weekly publication deadlines
Work several weeks in advance (articles are written ahead of time)
What We're Looking For:
Must Have:
- Excellent attention to detail (this is critical!)
- Strong reliability - you meet deadlines consistently
- Good English writing skills
- Comfortable learning new tools quickly
- Stable internet connection
Nice to Have:
- Squarespace experience (we can train you if needed)
- Canva or graphic design experience
- ChatGPT or AI tool familiarity
- Newsletter or
- Google Drive proficiency
