Video Podcast Editor

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor from the Philippines to join our team. This role will focus on editing longform video podcasts (up to 2 hours in length) and midform content (3-10 minute segments) derived from those podcasts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical editing skills, an understanding of American culture, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit longform video podcasts for clarity, engagement, and seamless storytelling.

Create midform content by selecting engaging highlights from longform episodes.

Enhance video content with appropriate transitions, graphics, captions, and effects.

Ensure high-quality audio and video synchronization.

Optimize content for various platforms, including YouTube and social media.

Maintain brand consistency in style, tone, and visual presentation.

Work within deadlines and collaborate with the team to meet content schedules.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in podcast or longform content.

Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.

Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement.

High level of English comprehension and communication skills.

Familiarity with American culture and pop culture references.

Ability to work within the 9 AM - 5 PM CST window.

Strong attention to detail and ability to take creative direction.

Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with motion graphics and color correction.

Knowledge of audio editing and noise reduction.

Background in social media video optimization.

Previous experience working with podcast or media production teams.
