Video Editor - Volume Lane
High-throughput short-form editor who owns one content lane and produces clean, on-brand cuts fast, to a template.


Primary Goal
Turn raw footage, talking-head, creator calls, simple scripted pieces, into polished short-form videos at high volume, following established templates, brand presets, and references. Success is measured by consistent daily output at a reliable quality bar, not by creative reinvention.


Where This Role Sits
You are assigned one primary content lane (for example: scripted talking-head, reply-to-comment clips, or creator-call highlight clips). A producer hands you organized footage, a template, and a reference; you execute. This is a focused, repeatable role for someone who likes to get into flow and ship.


Key Responsibilities
• Edit raw footage into finished short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) using provided templates and brand presets.
• Apply captions, basic text overlays, clean cuts, and audio cleanup to a consistent standard.
• Hit a daily output target without dropping below the quality floor.
• Multiply each approved cut into platform-native variants, turning one finished piece into several posts across TikTok, Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn, and Facebook (aspect ratio, length, caption style).
• Keep project files, exports, and assets organized and named per our system.
• Use AI tools (Claude, OpusClip, ---------- ) to speed up culling, rough cuts, and reformatting.


Required Skills & Tools
• Core editing: Descript and/or CapCut (required); Adobe Premiere a plus.
• Captioning workflows and platform-native formatting for TikTok / Reels / Shorts.
• AI-assisted editing: OpusClip, ---------- ; comfortable working alongside Claude.
• Collaboration: Google Workspace, Slack / Lark, Loom.


Experience
1–2+ years editing short-form social content. Hungry, fast-learning editors early in their career are welcome, we would rather build good habits than undo bad ones.


What We Screen For
• Speed with consistency: a high volume of clean edits per day, every day, to a template.
• Lane discipline and coachability: thrives inside a defined system; does not need creative control or to make the content their own.
• Reliability: predictable daily throughput we can build a pipeline around.


Not a fit if: you want a creative-director track, heavy input on concept/strategy, or get restless doing the same content type repeatedly. That is a different role, see Story / Hero Editor.


Rate: $800.00 USD
Work Schedule: Full-time:40 hours per week
Preferred: Overlap with U.S. Pacific Time
Requirement: Minimum 2 years of proven experience
