About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Short-Form Video Editor who can also design eye-catching thumbnails, track content performance, and schedule posts across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

The ideal candidate understands short-form trends, has strong storytelling instincts, and knows how to create content that stops the scroll. Beyond editing, you’ll play a key role in helping optimize performance by monitoring analytics and ensuring content is consistently scheduled and published on time.

Responsibilities
Edit raw video footage into engaging short-form content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Create high-quality, click-worthy thumbnails that drive views and engagement.
Schedule and publish content across social media platforms according to the content calendar.
Track and report video performance metrics including views, retention, engagement, CTR, and watch time.
Use analytics and platform insights to improve future content performance and identify trends.
Stay up to date on platform trends, sounds, viral formats, and editing styles to keep content fresh and relevant.
Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure videos align with brand voice and campaign goals.
Add captions, effects, music, transitions, and motion elements that enhance storytelling and boost retention.
Organize and manage video assets for efficient workflow and content management.
Optimize videos, titles, captions, and thumbnails for maximum reach and engagement.



Requirements
Proven experience editing short-form video content (portfolio required).
Strong skills in video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar).
Proficiency with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva, or similar) for thumbnail creation.
Understanding of social media algorithms, audience behaviour, analytics, and visual trends.
Experience scheduling and managing content across social media platforms.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining high-quality output.
Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and storytelling.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.




Bonus Skills
Motion graphics or animation experience.
Experience with YouTube SEO and metadata optimization.
Knowledge of colour grading and sound design.
Familiarity with social media management tools such as Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
