Video Editor - Social Media Content (Part-Time, Growing Into Full-Time)

I run a social media marketing agency and am looking for a skilled short-form video editor to join long-term.

I work with clients on a month-to-month basis and I'm actively scaling and taking on new clients, so there's strong potential for growing hours and pay as the workload increases.

** MUST HAVE STRONG ENGLISH

Starting monthly workload:
- 20 client videos to start (required)
- 5-10 videos for my business and/or personal brand (still TBD)

WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING:
- Talking head + B-roll educational videos (you must source on-brand b-roll yourself)
- B-roll/trendy-audio style content
- Behind-the-scenes (BTS) / Vlog style posts
- Cover photos for each video

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
* Capcut Pro
* Latest CapCut editing tools + features
* Edit short-form videos (roughly 10 to 40 seconds) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YT Shorts
* Build strong hooks: opening frame, first-line text, and pacing that earns the next second
* Ability to source b-roll and stock, not just cut footage we hand over
* Ability to design cover photos for each video (guide provided)
* Cut dead space, tighten a sentence, add captions, and speed something up
* Comfortable using sound effects and overlays (not just slapping trending audio on top)
* Fast turnaround
* Produce multiple hook variations of the same video for testing, and iterate based on performance
* Real understanding of retention: why viewers drop off and how to keep them
* Clean, on-brand taste
* Finished vertical videos (9:16) with captions and sound, source files included
* Reliable communication and consistent turnaround time
* 2 to 3 hook variations per concept for testing

RATE: $350/month to start, with room to grow as volume and client work increase. I'm planning to start with a paid $5 trial video before committing to ongoing work, so I can see how you work with my footage and guidelines.
