About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Video Editor to transform our long-form podcast recordings (around 90 minutes each) into engaging YouTube videos that captivate viewers from the very first seconds. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention strategies tailored for YouTube. The required output is one video every 2 weeks

Responsibilities
Edit full-length 90-minute podcast recordings into polished YouTube videos.

Craft compelling intro sequences (30–90 seconds) that highlight the most engaging, thought-provoking, or entertaining ---------- nts from the conversation.

Create smooth transitions, visually engaging cuts, and pacing that maintains viewer interest throughout.

Add branded elements (logos, intros, lower-thirds, etc.)

Select relevant b-roll, images, or graphical overlays to support key discussion points.

Ensure consistent audio and video quality, color correction, and sound mixing.

Collaborate with Adira (host) to align editing style with brand tone and audience expectations.

Stay updated on YouTube trends and retention strategies to maximize watch time and engagement.

Requirements
Proven experience as a video editor, preferably with long-form content and podcasts.

Strong portfolio showcasing editing skills, storytelling ability, and audience-focused content.

Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Descript, or DaVinci Resolve).

Understanding of YouTube content dynamics, including hooks, pacing, and retention tactics.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with YouTube SEO and thumbnail/title optimization.

Passion for podcasts, storytelling, and digital media.
