Job Post: Long-Term Video Editor for Organic Short-Form Content
Position Overview:
I am looking for a dedicated, skilled video editor to work with me long-term on creating engaging, organic short-form videos. This role requires efficiency, commitment, and a deep understanding of storytelling that resonates with viewers. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful content and want to grow alongside a content creator, this role is for you.

Requirements:
Experience:
Must have proven experience in video editing.
Familiarity with short-form content editing (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in CapCut Pro for collaborative cloud-based editing.
Knowledge of color grading (e.g., DaVinci Resolve is preferred).
must be familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io (latest versions).
Final Cut Pro experience is a plus.
Skilled in trimming and merging multiple raw clips into a cohesive chronological storyline.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to identify key moments in raw footage to include and remove unnecessary parts.
Capable of generating accurate transcripts from trimmed videos and converting them into Google Documents.
Strong understanding of how to structure content that keeps viewers engaged.
Language Skills:
Must be fluent in English and able to understand instructions clearly.
Must ask the right questions to ensure a smoother workflow and better collaboration.
Mindset:
Someone who doesn’t just edit but believes their editing is capable of going viral.
Believes in the vision, mission, and goals of the content creator.
Commitment to the project and a drive to contribute to its growth and success.
Equipment & Connectivity:
Reliable and fast internet connection is mandatory.
Access to up-to-date editing software

Responsibilities:
Edit 40+ short videos per month, with initial rates starting at $8 USD per video for the first five videos (rate increases after the first five) or a fixed weekly rate.
Collaborate on creating videos that align with the brand’s style and mission.
Use cloud-based workflows to ensure quick turnaround and minimal delays.
Trim and merge raw footage into a chronological order, ensuring a logical flow of the storyline.
Generate detailed transcripts from trimmed videos and convert them into Google Documents.
Use transcripts to efficiently structure the storyline and finalize the topics to include in the video drafts.
Incorporate sound effects, transitions, and visual elements to enhance video appeal.
Remove unnecessary parts of raw footage while retaining key moments to deliver impactful and concise content.

About the Content:
Videos are short-form social experiments focused on positivity and human connection.
Typical format:
Approach random strangers and offer to do their nails.
Ask them three key questions:

Where are you from?
What do you do?
Your goal: Create videos that captivate viewers and leave a lasting positive impact.
