Part Time

Starts part-time. You can stay part-time permanently, or shift to full-time after the first 30 days if you're a good match. Your choice.
Now read this whole thing before you apply. It matters.
Effective communication is critically important in this job. So to make sure that that can happen I need for you to submit a loom video of you for one minute talking about anything. I include this here just to make sure that it doesn't get missed because without the loom video then unfortunately we can't consider your submission.
If you're looking for full-time work and you've been struggling to find the right fit, this could be a big deal for you. For the first 30 days, this will definitely be part-time. But if you turn out to be a good match and you want full-time, you could shift over to full-time as early as that first month, or right after it. And if part-time is exactly what you want, you can stay part-time permanently. We're flexible on the hours.
The one thing we're not flexible on is that we're looking for someone permanent.
If you've ever felt frustrated being treated like just another applicant in a stack of hundreds, this will feel different too. I read every complete application myself, and I'm looking for one or two people I can grow with for years.
Here's something most job posts won't tell you. I care more about your mindset than your skill. The person I want shows up with good energy, works well with others, takes instruction openly, and actually wants to learn. Skills I can teach. Mindset I can't. If you bring positive energy and you're happy to do the work, you'll do well here. If you're looking for a place to coast or complain, please apply somewhere else.
About the work
This is mostly short-form video editing, with some long-form too. Mainly talking-head videos. Our main tools are CapCut, and Submagic. Having experience with Premiere Pro (or equivalent full featured video platform) is a plus but not essential.
You'll also post finished videos to social platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts,
You'll work directly with me, but you won't be working alone. We're a team. We have daily meetings, and once you're in, you become part of that team. So you'll have people around you, not just a pile of assignments dropped in your lap.
Extra skills help, so tell me about them.
CapCut and Submagic are our main tools. But if you've got skills in Premiere or Photoshop, that's a real plus. Not essential, but it helps. And if you've got any other technical skills at all, I want to hear about them. Don't be shy. The more you can do, the more valuable you are to me.
The money, and how it grows.
I'm not going to hide the numbers from you. This starts part-time, 20 hours a week.
To start: $350 per month
After your 30-day trial: $400 per month
After two more months: $500 per month
After that: regular reviews with raises based on how you develop and the value you bring
You won't get a raise every single month. The first few bumps are just to get you up to pay that motivates you. Then it settles into regular reviews.
Pay comes every two weeks, in USD, on time, every time. No waiting a full month, no chasing payments.
One more thing, and read this carefully
Here's what I learned the hard way. The single biggest difference between someone who works out and someone who doesn't is English. Not "fluent on paper." Actually being able to talk back and forth with me, clearly, both ways. If I can't communicate with you and you can't communicate with me, neither of us can do this job. So I need to hear you, not just read you.
To apply, do these two things. If you skip either one, I'll delete your application without reading it.
Put "peanut butter" in the subject line. This tells me you read the whole post.
Send me a one-minute Loom video. Talk about anything you want, but tell me a little about your background and your experience. One minute is plenty. I just need to hear you talk.
That's it. No agencies. I'm only hiring individuals, not companies.
I'm hiring two people to start, both on a 30-day trial. At the end of the trial, I'll keep both, keep one, or part ways with both. So show me who you are.
