Video Editor

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Video Editor to help us turn raw footage into clean, engaging videos for social media and YouTube. You’ll be editing content that ranges from short-form clips to longer YouTube videos, with a strong focus on speed, consistency, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
• Edit raw footage into polished deliverables for:
• Short-form (Reels/TikTok/Shorts)
• Long-form YouTube videos
• Ads, promos, and training clips (as needed)
• Create tight, punchy cuts with strong pacing and storytelling
• Add simple motion graphics, lower thirds, callouts, and basic titles
• Clean up audio (levels, noise reduction, EQ where needed)
• Color correct / apply basic color grading for a consistent look
• Sync audio/video and organize timelines cleanly
• Export in correct formats/aspect ratios (9:16, 16:9, 1:1) with proper settings
• Collaborate with our team on notes, revisions, and versioning
• Maintain file organization and naming conventions in shared drives
• Hit deadlines reliably and communicate early if anything slips

Requirements (Must-Have)
• Adobe Premiere Pro experience (required)
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere + at least one of: After Effects, Audition, Photoshop)
• Reliable high-speed internet suitable for uploading/downloading large video files
• Must have your own editing equipment, including:
• Capable computer for 1080p/4K editing
• Headphones for audio editing
• Stable power/backup plan if outages are common
• Ability to follow brand style, pacing references, and feedback precisely
• Strong English comprehension (spoken fluency not required, but must understand notes)

Nice-to-Have
• After Effects experience (templates, light animation, motion graphics)
• Experience editing for direct-response ads and retention-focused YouTube content
• Familiarity with:
• Captions/subtitles (burned-in or SRT workflows)
• Sound design (whooshes, hits, subtle SFX)
• Multi-cam editing
• Experience working with remote teams and asynchronous workflows

• Organized project files, clean timelines, and consistent exports
• Ability to work in overlapping hours with U.S. team (partial overlap preferred but not required)
