JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor (Short-Form & Long-Form Content)
Company: Offer Scalers

About Us:
We are Offer Scalers, a rapidly growing company specialising in building and managing info product funnels for online coaches. We work with high-profile clients, such as Eddie Abbew, and are committed to delivering exceptional results. We’re looking for a talented and dedicated Video Editor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about content creation, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Our Company Culture
At Offer Scalers, our culture is the backbone of everything we do. Here’s what we value most:

Client Success: We put our clients’ results above everything else. Whether it’s working late to complete a project or going the extra mile to ensure the highest quality, we are dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes.

Personal Growth: We believe in continuous improvement. Whether it’s learning a new skill, exploring better tools, or refining your craft, we expect every team member to grow alongside the company.

Speed of Execution: Time is of the essence. We act with urgency and aim to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards. Procrastination has no place here!

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to create and edit both short-form and long-form video content. This includes Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, testimonials, adverts, and long-form videos like YouTube uploads and Video Sales Letters (VSLs).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with CapCut for editing and Canva for basic design tasks. Attention to detail is critical, as your work will be seen by thousands, if not millions, of people. From ensuring captions are correctly spelled and positioned to identifying key moments that will engage the audience, you will play a key role in helping our clients build their brands and grow their businesses.

Key Responsibilities
1. Editing Short-Form Videos

Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, Facebook videos, and YouTube Shorts.
Videos will require basic cuts and auto-captions, with no fancy transitions or animations.
On average, you’ll be editing around 20 short-form videos per month, but this may vary depending on client needs.

2. Editing Client Testimonials

Our client Eddie Abbew hosts weekly Zoom calls with his community. You’ll be responsible for:
Editing and captioning short clips from these calls to create engaging testimonial videos.
Taking screenshots of client testimonials and cleaning them up using Canva for use in marketing materials.

3. Editing and Posting YouTube Videos

You’ll handle editing long-form YouTube videos with the same approach as shorts (simple cuts and captions).
You’ll also post the videos directly to YouTube, using ChatGPT to help craft engaging descriptions for each upload.

4. Editing Adverts

Create multiple variations of adverts for platforms like Facebook and Instagram. For example:
One advert might have 5 different hooks to test performance.
You’ll need to keep these variations well-organised so performance can be tracked efficiently.

5. Editing Video Sales Letters (VSLs)

This is one of the most important responsibilities in this role. VSLs are a key part of our clients’ funnels, and require heavy editing. This includes:
Adding B-roll footage at key moments to match the content of the video (e.g., if the speaker mentions “spending more time with family,” you’ll find and include a clip of them with their family).
Ensuring the VSL is engaging and flows seamlessly to keep viewers watching until the end.

6. Maintaining Organisation

You’ll be responsible for keeping media folders tidy and organised.
Ensure all edited content is saved in the correct folders, labelled properly, and easy to find.

Turnaround Time:

When we send you a batch of videos, we expect:
10 short-form videos and 1 YouTube video completed within 24 hours.
If a specific video is marked as urgent, you’ll need to prioritise it.
Attention to Detail:

Captions should always be spelled correctly and positioned so they aren’t covered by platform buttons (e.g., TikTok’s “Like” and “Comment” buttons).
Colours, fonts, and proportions must be professional and consistent with the client’s branding.

Proactive Problem-Solving:

If you’re unsure about the spelling of a word or phrase, take the initiative to Google it.
Be proactive in suggesting improvements to the videos you edit.

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience as a video editor and basic graphic designer.
Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
Familiarity with Frame.io (used for submitting videos and receiving feedback).

Skills:

A creative mindset with the ability to identify what makes content engaging and shareable.
Excellent written English, with flawless spelling and grammar.
Basic photo editing skills using Canva.

Tools:

CapCut (required)
Canva (required)
Frame.io (preferred)

Compensation
Commitment: Full-time, retainer-based role.
Pay: Negotiable, depending on scope and volume of work.

Bonuses: Available for exceptional reliability and consistently high-quality work.
