We’re looking for an Unreal Engine Level Designer to create engaging, playable levels that support fun, readable gameplay. This role is focused on layout, flow, pacing, and player experience rather than asset creation or programming.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build levels using Unreal Engine tools
• Block out levels and iterate quickly based on feedback
• Place gameplay elements (objectives, enemies, pickups, hazards)
• Tune difficulty, pacing, and player flow
• Work with existing assets, lighting, and gameplay systems
• Collaborate with a small team and follow clear direction
Requirements:
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine level design tools
• Understanding of gameplay flow, pacing, and player guidance
• Ability to block out levels using basic geometry and placeholders
• Familiarity with collision, nav mesh, and basic lighting
• Clean, organized level layouts
• Reliable communication and ability to hit deadlines
Bonus (Nice to Have):
• Experience designing platformer or action game levels
• Basic Blueprint knowledge (trigger volumes, simple logic)
• Experience playtesting and iterating on feedback
• Experience shipping a game or playable prototype
