Troubleshoot google analytics ecommerce tracking

I'm posting this as a gig, but it could lead to more business if it goes well.

For this gig - I have a Google Analytics account for an ecommerce store that tracks conversions but not conversion values.
I see the conversion values in GTM, in the GA troubleshooter, and they get passed through GA to Google Adwords.

But in Google Analytics we see no conversion values so far.

This site was inherited and had some odd customizations before, so it is probably some remnant of that mapping in GTM or GA.

I need help figuring out where this is going wrong and to get those conversion values showing.

Other skills I would like to explore: Making custom dashboards in GA so we can see key metrics without digging for them.
Experience specifically with ecommerce (we use Magento) is desired.
