TikTok Carousel Content Assistant / AI Image & Canva Designer

We are looking for a detail-oriented creative assistant to help turn short genre fiction stories into TikTok carousel posts.

You will receive a Google Doc containing a completed story. Your job will be to use AI tools and Canva to create a 10-slide TikTok carousel based on the story. You will need to create a 10-slide TikTok carousel three times a week. Your 30 slides must be turned in by Friday close of business.

This role is best for someone who understands visual storytelling, emotional hooks, TikTok-style content, and clean Canva design.

Responsibilities:

Use ChatGPT or similar AI tools to scan provided stories and then generate short text for a 10-slide TikTok carousel
Make sure each slide has a strong hook, emotional progression, and clear story flow
Use ChatGPT Images, Midjourney, or similar AI image tools to generate images for each slide
Make sure the images are consistent in style, character appearance, tone, and mood
Use Canva (the free versions is fine) to overlay the slide text onto the images
Create a polished final 10-slide carousel ready to post on TikTok
Send the finished Canva files / exported image slides for review
Revise slides when needed based on feedback

You should be good at:

Using ChatGPT or similar AI writing tools
Using AI image generation tools
Canva design (basic design / free Canva version)
Creating TikTok-style visual content
Understanding story structure and emotional pacing
Following instructions closely
Keeping characters and visuals consistent across multiple images
Writing short, engaging text that fits naturally on a slide. (One or two brief sentences per slide.)

Important:

This is not a traditional writing-only role. You will be using AI tools to help generate the carousel text and images. Your main value will be your ability to guide the AI, choose the best outputs, fix weak results, keep the story coherent, and make the final slides look professional.

Ideal candidate:

Has experience with Canva
Has used ChatGPT, Midjourney, ChatGPT Images, or other AI tools
Understands TikTok, Instagram carousels, or social media storytelling
Includes the phrase 'balut beats bologna' in their application so we know they read the full job post.
Has strong attention to detail
Can follow a repeatable process
Can make simple but attractive designs
Is comfortable working with genre fiction, including romance, drama, thriller, horror, or sci-fi stories

Sample Task:

For the application, please send a short sample showing how you would turn a story into a 10-slide TikTok carousel.

You do not need to create all 10 images for the application. Please provide:

A 10-slide text outline for a fictional story carousel. (Can be any story, even one you make up on the spot right now. One to two sentences per slide.)
One sample AI-generated image or Canva slide
A short explanation of which AI tools you used

Alternatively, please direct me to any social media carousels or images you have already produced. If your carousels are on TikTok it's a plus, but not required.

We do not request that any software be installed on your computer to track hours or activity or anything of this nature. We also don't believe in time sheets, or anything like that. As long as you submit an original, plagiarism-free work we are 100% happy.

When you first start this endeavor, it will likely take you close to 30 hours to complete each week. After two months, most of our tea ---------- mbers can successfully create the entire weeks' slides in 10 hours. (I'm listing the job as 20 hours a week, but there's almost no way you'll be spending that much time on it after the first month.)
