Temporary Curriculum Designer

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, reliable curriculum designer to support the layout and formatting of our 3rd and 4th grade ELA units. This is a temporary contract role that may range from part-time to full-time hours, depending on project volume.

All content is fully written—your job is to transform it into beautifully formatted student pages, teacher slides, and supplemental materials using a pre-established template and brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
Format and design student-facing pages and supplemental materials in PowerPoint using provided templates (all fonts, colors, and layout styles are established)
Build teacher slides in PowerPoint and import them into Google Slides
Source supporting visuals (icons/images) using approved platforms such as Freepik
Export final deliverables as both flattened PDFs and editable PowerPoint files
Ensure file organization and naming follow internal standards

Project Volume & Turnaround Expectations:
Approximately 8 units per month (4 for Grade 3, 4 for Grade 4)
Must be able to work efficiently and meet quick turnaround timelines
Clear communication and responsiveness are key in our fast-moving workflow

Requirements:
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides
Keen eye for detail and consistency in formatting
Experience sourcing and working with licensed visuals
Ability to follow detailed formatting templates and brand standards
Strong time management and reliability for meeting deadlines

Nice to Have:
Background in education or experience with curriculum design
This is a remote position with flexible scheduling, but consistent availability and quick turnaround capacity are essential.

Compensation is $6.50/hour.
