JOB OVERVIEW

Coordinate 3-5 contractors (scaling to 10-15) building AI-powered business systems across multiple concurrent projects. You'll translate technical specs into executed code, manage dependencies, and maintain quality standards.

Remote, full-time (40 hours/week), Philippines-based, EST overlap required (4-6 hours daily).

**CRITICAL REQUIREMENT:**
You must be comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, Cody, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to build production features daily.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO:**

Contractor Coordination (40%):
- Break complex specs into contractor assignments
- Track deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
- Prevent duplicate work and dependency conflicts
- Conduct code reviews against specifications
- Resolve blockers and coordinate between developers

Hands-On Development (30%):
- Build proof-of-concepts with AI coding tools
- Debug integration issues between contractor deliverables
- Create reference implementations
- Implement critical path items when contractors are blocked

System Visibility (20%):
- Track component ownership across all projects
- Maintain production-readiness dashboards
- Identify dependency blockers before they cascade

Documentation (10%):
- Maintain decision logs
- Document shortcuts taken for speed
- Build pattern libraries from successful implementations

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:**

Technical:
- 3+ years coding (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar)
- Experience with AI coding assistants for daily work
- Production deployment experience
- Modern frameworks (React, Node.js, FastAPI, or similar)
- APIs and microservices architecture

Coordination:
- Coordinated 2+ developers on projects (formal management not required)
- Breaking requirements into executable tasks
- Code review experience
- Multi-component systems delivered on schedule
- Async coordination across time zones

Communication:
- Excellent written English for async work
- GitHub/GitLab workflows and PR reviews
- Comfortable working independently with weekly check-ins
- Willing to push back when specs are unclear or timelines unrealistic

**DIRECT COMMUNICATION REQUIRED:**
We need someone who will tell us when specs are incomplete, flag issues early, challenge decisions that create technical problems, and say "this won't work" instead of silently struggling.

**WORKING WITH THE FOUNDER:**
1. Founder writes comprehensive component specs
2. You break specs into contractor assignments
3. Contractors execute using AI-assisted development
4. You conduct technical validation and code review
5. You provide acceptance recommendations
6. Founder makes business decisions based on your assessment

You maintain the component control system, track dependencies, conduct code reviews, handle tactical execution.

**THIS ROLE ISN'T FOR YOU IF:**
- You're not comfortable learning and using AI coding tools daily
- You need daily standups instead of async coordination
- You prefer single-project focus over managing multiple systems
- You avoid telling leadership when they're wrong

**TO APPLY, INCLUDE:**

1. Contractor Coordination Example: Your most complex multi-developer project (system, how you prevented conflicts, what went wrong, timeline, outcome)

2. Spec Writing Sample: Write contractor-ready spec (1-2 pages) for "Build an SMS-based collections system that coordinates with a database to track tenant payment status and automatically sends reminder messages." Include acceptance criteria.

3. Scenario Responses:
A) Three contractors building interdependent services. One goes silent for 3 days. What do you do?
B) Contractor delivers working code that doesn't match architectural patterns. How do you handle it?
C) Two contractors independently created similar database tables with different schemas. How do you resolve it?
D) Founder asks for a timeline you know is impossible. What do you say and how?

4. Logistics: Your timezone, EST overlap availability, start date, current hourly rate expectations ($7-10 range)

**WAGE/SALARY PER MONTH:**
$7-10/hour USD ($1,120-1,600/month for 40 hours/week) based on experience and AI tool proficiency.
Performance bonuses: $ ---------- /month for hitting delivery and quality targets.
Annual raises tied to portfolio growth and team expansion.
