Technical Draftsperson & AI Assistant

About Us

We are a New Zealand-based company specialising in the design, engineering and manufacture of ventilation, acoustic and screening systems for construction projects.

We’re growing and looking for a reliable technical assistant to support our team with drawings, technical documentation and the development of our internal AI knowledge systems.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone with strong SketchUp and LayOut skills who can assist with pre-sales drawings, shop drawings and construction details.

The role will also involve helping us organise technical information and set up an internal AI knowledge agent using platforms such as Google NotebookLM, Claude or similar tools.

This is a full-time remote role working New Zealand business hours, alongside our existing Philippines-based tea ---------- mbers.

Key Responsibilities

Produce pre-sales, shop and technical drawings
Create and update SketchUp models and LayOut drawing sets
Prepare clear construction and fabrication details
Review and revise drawings based on feedback
Organise product, project and technical information
Help set up and maintain internal AI knowledge tools
Develop templates, prompts and repeatable AI workflows
Work closely with our sales, design and operations teams
Requirements

Strong proficiency in SketchUp and LayOut
Experience with shop drawings or construction drawings
Good understanding of construction and architectural detailing
Very good written and spoken English
Strong general IT and software skills
Interest in AI tools and the ability to learn new platforms
Reliable home office setup with stable internet and power
Willingness to work New Zealand business hours
Preferred Skills

AutoCAD
Façade, cladding, glazing or architectural metalwork experience
Manufacturing or fabrication drawings
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
Experience with NotebookLM, Claude, ChatGPT or similar AI tools
PDF markup software such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat
