About the Role

The Freight Forwarding Team Leader is responsible for managing shipping coordinators or the freight forwarding team, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering efficient logistics services. The role also involves supporting client engagements and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the shipping coordinators or freight forwarding team
• Oversee daily shipment operations and ensure smooth execution
• Coordinate with carriers, agents, and internal teams
• Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
• Resolve operational issues and handle escalations
• Monitor team performance and service quality
• Attend client meetings when required

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising or leading a team within the freight forwarding industry
• Good understanding of import/export processes, and shipping documentation
• Familiarity with customs regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
