About Savage Tech Australia
Savage Tech Australia is one of Australia's leading suppliers and manufacturers of accessories for GWM, Tank, BYD and other emerging off-road vehicle brands. We source products from multiple factories across China and are looking for a highly organised person to take ownership of inventory planning, forecasting and supplier coordination.
This is NOT a warehouse role. It's focused on inventory forecasting, purchasing coordination, supplier management and making sure the business never runs out of stock.
Right now our purchasing is spread across many suppliers with no central system. Your first job will be to help build that system from the ground up — a clean supplier database and a reliable ordering process — and then run it day to day.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Review Prediko inventory forecasts daily
Monitor stock levels and flag products needing reorder
Build and maintain supplier and factory databases
Create and manage purchase order schedules
Follow up with management daily on purchasing decisions
Track production progress with suppliers
Monitor container shipments and ETA dates
Maintain accurate inventory records
Produce weekly stock reports and purchasing recommendations
Identify potential stock shortages before they happen
Assist with future Odoo ERP implementation
REQUIRED SKILLS
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and spoken English
Experience managing inventory, purchasing or supply chain processes
Ability to keep tasks moving without constant supervision
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Prediko, Shopify or Odoo experience
Procurement or purchasing experience
Inventory forecasting experience
Manufacturing or supplier management experience
Experience working with Chinese suppliers
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You'll be the central point of coordination between management, suppliers, purchasing and inventory planning — responsible for ensuring inventory decisions are made on time and critical products are reordered before they run out.
This role is full-time and aligned to Australian business hours.
HOW TO APPLY
To be considered, submit ALL of the following:
Your resume
A 2-minute video introduction
A short written response to this question: "We sell 2,000+ products sourced from many different Chinese factories, with no central ordering system today. Walk us through your first 30 days: how would you build the supplier database and purchasing process from scratch?"
An example spreadsheet, report or dashboard you have personally created
Begin your written response with the word STOCKFLOW so we know you've read this ad in full. Applications missing any of these four items will not be considered.
