Commonscale is a creative venture studio based in New York City, working with early-stage startups and founders on brand strategy, investor presentations, creative direction, and high-impact brand development. We are looking for a Studio Operations Manager who can act as the communication hub and operational backbone of the studio. This is a long-term, part-time role (up to 20 hours/week) with room to grow.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the CEO on daily priorities and project flow
- Set client meetings, send follow-ups, and prepare agendas
- Manage timelines, schedules, and deliverables across multiple projects
- Connect and communicate with remote design teams
- Follow up with vendors and contractors to ensure work is progressing
- Track internal initiatives, project statuses, and outstanding tasks
- Organize project assets, notes, and briefs
- Provide weekly updates on projects, risks, and next steps
- Support the creation of smooth, predictable workflows
This role is NOT a design position, but you must understand creative workflows and how branding/design projects move from brief ? review ? delivery.
???? Ideal Candidate
3+ years experience in creative operations, studio management, project coordination, or agency account support
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive communicator who follows up without being asked
- Comfortable working with remote teams across time zones
- Familiar with Notion, Google Workspace, Slack, and project management tools
- Understands how creative studios function (timelines, rounds, revisions, approvals)
- Calm under pressure and solution-oriented
- Able to represent the studio professionally to clients

Part-time: up to 20 hours per week
Some overlap required with US (ET) business hours
Long-term engagement preferred

Hourly rate based on experience and location. Long-term performance bonuses and increased responsibilities are possible as the studio grows.
