Structural Steel Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time, with a 1-hour break
Salary: $1,200 per month

* Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to support a U.S.-based estimating team for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural steel estimating, including detailed takeoffs, 3D modeling, and bid support. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Tekla Structures and PowerFab, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team while working overlapping U.S. business hours.

* Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed structural steel takeoffs based on project drawings and specifications
Build, review, and maintain accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures
Generate material quantities and verify accuracy for estimating purposes
Input, manage, and maintain estimating and project data within PowerFab
Assist in preparing bid packages and supporting estimation deliverables
Conduct internal quality control checks to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness
Review structural drawings, plans, blueprints, and technical documentation
Coordinate closely with U.S.-based estimators and project stakeholders
Meet project deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and organization
Minimize errors, rework, and discrepancies in estimates and modeling outputs

* Qualifications:
Proven experience in structural steel estimating
Hands-on experience with Tekla Structures for 3D modeling (required)
Experience using PowerFab for estimating or project data management
Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and construction documents
Experience supporting commercial construction or structural steel projects
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in takeoffs and estimates
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with remote U.S.-based teams
