Staff Accountant — Own the Books Across a Growing Multi-Entity Operation

I am looking for a Staff Accountant to own the full accounting cycle across multiple entities. You'll work with leadership that values accurate financials, continuous improvement, and someone who takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do.

What You'll Accomplish

Within your first 60 days
-Take ownership of AP, cash postings, payroll journal entries, and accruals across multiple entities
-Help establish a smooth, predictable month-end close process

Within 90 days
-Keep reconciliations clean and current
-Identify and resolve discrepancies before they become larger issues
-Ensure financial records are accurate and audit-ready

Within 6 months
-Deliver accurate, on-time monthly financial statements that leadership can rely on
-Improve at least one accounting process through automation, AI, or advanced Excel workflows
-Become the trusted owner of the books across the organization

What You'll Do
-Manage full-cycle accounting across multiple entities
-Process accounts payable and cash postings
-Prepare payroll journal entries and accruals
-Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
-Prepare and review monthly financial statements
-Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
-Support month-end and year-end close activities
-Continuously improve accounting processes using automation and AI where appropriate

You're a Great Fit If You...
-Have an Accounting degree
-Bring 3–5+ years of full-cycle, multi-entity accounting experience
-Have strong experience with QuickBooks Online or Sage Intacct (depending on assignment)
-Are highly proficient in Excel beyond basic formulas
-Have experience using AI or automation tools—or are excited to leverage them to improve efficiency
-Are exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
-Can work independently with minimal supervision
-Take ownership, communicate proactively, and solve problems before they become someone else's
