Staff Accountant

This is a 100% remote position for a US-based CPA firm. We are growing and are always hiring
Responsibilities:
Process monthly financial activity for our QBO clients who are multi-unit franchise bakery owners. Month-end activities include:
- Revenue and stats uploads from the POS
- Bank Feeds coding and reconciliations
- Credit Card coding and reconciliations
- Payroll coding in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Month-end accruals
- Intercompany allocations and reconciliations
- QBO and Fathom month-end reports

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial report interpretation
- Intercompany allocations experience is desired
- QuickBooks Online expereince is highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills (will do pre-employment testing)
- Payroll processing and coding experience is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Multi-tasking = ability to handle multiple clients' requests and deadlines
- DId we say attention to detail? it is worth repeating, attention to detail is essential.

Experience
-Working knowledge of QBO (will be tested)
-Must have experience posting journal entries and performing basic reconciliations
-Working knowledge of any project-management tool (i.e., Asana, Upgrade to see actual info, Canopy, FInancial Cents, Karbon) is a plus
