Software Engineer / Instructor

App Academy is seeking a software engineer with a desire to help junior coders learn the basics of Java programming. This position will manage Asynchronous learning programs based on Java. The right candidate will have a solid grasp of Java, SQL, Spring, React, have excellent written communication skills in English, and the heart of a teacher.

Responsibilities Include:

Grading:
* Evaluate Java programming assignments, projects, and assessments.
* Provide detailed and constructive feedback to students on their code.
* Ensure grading is fair, consistent, and aligns with course guidelines.

Student Assistance:
* Offer guidance and clarification to students on programming principles and programming tasks.
* Assist students in troubleshooting coding issues and debugging their programs.
* Foster a positive learning environment and encourage student engagement.

Communication:
* Communicate effectively with both students and the Lead instructor.
* Provide regular updates on students' progress and challenges.

Technical Expertise:
* Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java programming language.

Qualifications:
* Strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented programming.
* Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience and the ability to work well with students of varying skill levels.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on providing constructive feedback.
