About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Software Engineer with AI/ML experience to join our team on a project or casual basis, supporting Australian-based clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on cutting-edge AI applications, including LLMs, GenAI, and scalable cloud systems, while collaborating with international teams.

You’ll play a key role in building intelligent, production-ready solutions that drive real business impact.

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
Integrate AI/ML features such as:
LLM-powered applications
Embeddings & vector search
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP
Develop and optimize prompt engineering strategies
Collaborate with product and design teams to turn ideas into solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Help evaluate AI model performance, safety, and reliability
Identify and fix performance issues, bugs, and technical debt

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years experience in software engineering
Strong skills in Python and/or JavaScript (TypeScript preferred)
Hands-on experience with AI/ML in real-world applications
Experience using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Cohere, etc.)
Familiar with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face)
Experience building REST APIs / microservices
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, etc.)
Familiar with Git and CI/CD workflows
Strong English communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with agent-based AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen)
Exposure to MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases)
Knowledge of Responsible AI / AI governance
Frontend experience (React / Next.js)
Experience working with Australian or international clients
Understanding of data privacy standards

Work Setup

Fully remote (Philippines-based)
Must be available during Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT)
