Social Media Manager / Short-Form Video Editor (CapCut, TikTok, AI-Forward)

ABOUT THE ROLE

I run Remarkable Career, a boutique executive search firm, and I'm looking for a sharp, fast, AI-forward social media manager and short-form video editor to own our content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The content is a mix of company/recruiting content (career advice, hiring, the job search, executive search) and personal brand content (building me up as the face of the business).

This is a hands-on creator role. I want someone who can pump out a high volume of content quickly, turn around FAST edits when I need them, and bring real ideas to the table -- not just wait for instructions. If you love the editing craft, you live inside CapCut, and you're genuinely excited about using AI to work faster, keep reading.

SCHEDULE & PAY
- Part-time, roughly 20 hours/week, fully remote
- Pay: $300-$500 USD/month, depending on experience and portfolio
- You must have a few hours of daily overlap with U.S. business hours for quick turnarounds and check-ins

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) that are clean, punchy, and on-trend
- Turn raw footage around FAST -- quick edits and rapid revisions are a core part of this job
- Add B-roll, captions, hooks, transitions, sound, and on-screen text to make videos pop
- Write scroll-stopping captions and hooks for each post
- Build and maintain a content calendar so we always know what's going out and when
- Bring ideation and strategy -- pitch content ideas, formats, series, and trends to jump on
- Use AI tools to streamline everything: scripting, repurposing, captioning, B-roll sourcing, ideation, and batching

WHO YOU ARE
- Strong editor -- you know pacing, cuts, captions, and retention
- CapCut power user -- this is non-negotiable; you should be fast and fluent in it
- TikTok-native -- you understand what works on the platform and why
- AI-forward and forward-thinking -- you already use AI tools to move faster and you're always testing new ones. There are so many tools that make this work easier, and I want someone hungry to use them
- Fast -- you can produce a lot of good content quickly without sacrificing quality
- A self-starter who brings ideas, not just execution

REQUIRED: PORTFOLIO (please read carefully)
Do NOT apply without a portfolio. I will not review applications that don't include one. Your portfolio should show:
- Past accounts you've created content for (handles/links so I can see the actual accounts)
- Sample videos you've edited -- ideally short-form (TikTok/Reels/Shorts)
- Any before/after or raw-to-final examples if you have them
- A quick note on which parts were YOUR work (editing, captions, strategy, etc.)
Applications without a reviewable portfolio of real past work will not be considered.
