Social Media Manager — Film/Creative Brand (Instagram, LinkedIn, Substack)
Type: Part-time to start, with room to grow into full-time Hours: Flexible, ~20 hrs/week Pay: Competitive, based on experience (state your rate)
About the Role
We run a creative production company and a film criticism brand.
We need a reliable, detail-oriented Social Media Manager to own day-to-day publishing across multiple platforms so we can focus on creating.
This is a long-term role for someone who treats my accounts like their own.
What You'll Do
-Post and schedule content across multiple Instagram accounts (feed, Reels, carousels)
-Build carousel posts in Canva using my existing brand templates, matching specific styles precisely
-Repurpose and reformat content into LinkedIn posts that read native to the platform
-Manage and publish a Substack newsletter (formatting, scheduling, light layout)
-Keep a content calendar organized and stay ahead of deadlines
Must-Have Skills & Experience
2+ years managing social media for brands, creators, or agencies
-Strong hands-on Canva skills, especially working within existing template systems
-Direct experience scheduling Instagram content (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, Metricool, or similar)
-Experience writing/adapting copy for LinkedIn
-Hands-on Substack experience (or comparable newsletter platforms like Beehiiv, Mailchimp, ConvertKit)
-Excellent written English
-Organized, communicative, and proactive
Nice to Have
Interest in or familiarity with film, cinema, or creative industries
Basic understanding of Instagram growth and engagement tactics
