JOB OVERVIEW

Taylor Contractors is a fast-growing infrastructure and trade services group operating across New Zealand. Our businesses provide plumbing, gasfitting, drainage, leak detection, hydro excavation, civil construction, maintenance and infrastructure services.

We are actively expanding throughout New Zealand and are building a highly recognisable national brand. We are looking for an experienced Social Media & Content Manager to take ownership of our online presence, content creation and brand growth.

This is a long-term full-time remote role for someone who understands content creation, video editing, social media growth, personal branding and audience engagement.

You will work directly with the company director and management team to document the growth of the business and build one of New Zealand's leading contracting brands.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management

• Manage all company social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube

• Schedule and publish content daily across all platforms

• Create and manage monthly content calendars

• Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages

• Track performance and identify opportunities for growth

• Ensure all content aligns with company branding and growth objectives

Content Creation & Video Editing

• Edit short-form and long-form video content

• Create reels, shorts and TikTok videos

• Create before-and-after project videos

• Produce project highlight videos

• Edit job site footage supplied by field staff

• Create graphics, carousels and promotional content

• Design branded content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar software

• Create content from project photos, videos and company updates

• Develop content templates and systems for efficient production

• Maintain an organised content and media library

Company Growth & Brand Building

• Document the growth of the company across multiple regions

• Showcase projects, staff, vehicles, equipment and business operations

• Promote company milestones, expansion announcements and achievements

• Create content around new branch launches and growth initiatives

• Build awareness of the Taylor Contractors brand throughout New Zealand

• Position the company as a leading infrastructure contractor

• Develop content strategies that increase visibility and engagement

Personal Brand Growth

• Assist with building and managing the personal brand of the company director

• Create content focused on business growth, leadership and entrepreneurship

• Develop content around company expansion and business development

• Repurpose content across multiple platforms

• Assist with YouTube growth strategies

• Identify opportunities to increase audience engagement and reach

Recruitment & Employer Branding

• Create recruitment-focused content

• Promote job opportunities across all regions

• Showcase company culture and team achievements

• Produce content that attracts tradespeople, operators and apprentices

• Support recruitment campaigns and staff attraction initiatives

• Help position the company as an employer of choice

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist with Google Business Profile content updates

• Create content for websites and landing pages

• Assist with email newsletter content

• Monitor competitors and industry trends

• Generate new content ideas and campaign concepts

• Support company marketing initiatives and promotions

• Assist with regional expansion campaigns

Required Skills & Experience

Applicants must have:

• Proven experience managing business social media accounts

• Strong video editing skills

• Strong graphic design skills

• Experience using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Strong organisational skills

• Ability to work independently

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable internet connection

• Professional home office setup

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will also have experience with:

• Construction, civil, plumbing or trade industries

• YouTube channel management

• LinkedIn growth strategies

• Personal brand management

• Photography and videography

• Drone footage editing

KPIs & Performance Expectations

Performance will be measured on:

• Daily posting consistency

• Number of content pieces created each week

• Growth in followers and engagement

• Video views and reach

• Recruitment enquiries generated

• Brand awareness growth

• Website traffic generated from social media

• Lead generation support

• Quality and consistency of content

• Social media response times

Minimum Content Expectations

• Multiple posts per day across platforms

• Minimum 5-10 reels or short-form videos per week

• Weekly long-form YouTube content

• Consistent recruitment and employer branding content

• Ongoing documentation of projects and company growth

Work Schedule

• Full-time (40 hours per week)

• Available during New Zealand business hours

• Daily communication with management

• Weekly planning and performance meetings
