JOB OVERVIEW

Short-Form Video Editor |Part-Time, Long-Term
$5/hour | 4-5 hours per week | Starting immediately

Who I Am
I'm an independent publisher and entrepreneur. I publish business books under pen names through my publisher brand. These are books that help beginners build real income through laundromats, vending machines, business credit, and buying small businesses, etc.
I'm growing a 'mostly' faceless social media presence on Youtube, TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn to drive book sales. I have the strategy, the scripts, and the content plan already built. I need someone to turn those scripts into finished, ready-to-post, effective video clips.

What You'll Do
I give you a script, a hook, and direction on the feel of the video. You produce a finished, polished short-form video clip ready to post. That's the whole job at this stage.
Each week you'll receive the materials by Monday. You'll deliver finished clips by Friday. I review, approve, and post.
You are not writing strategy. You are not brainstorming. You are executing production. If you are fast and reliable, this role grows.
In 4-5 hours per week, I expect 5-7 finished short-form clips (60 -120 seconds, vertical 9:16 format).

What the Videos Look Like
These are faceless short-form videos. Think:

Text on screen with b-roll or stock footage behind it
Hook on screen in the first 2 seconds, matched to audio pacing or/and Realistic voice
Clean captions burned in or styled on screen
Background music that fits the tone (confident, straightforward, not hype-y)
No talking head. No face required unless it matches the brand.

The brand voice is direct and plain. Not flashy. Not corporate. Beginner entrepreneurs need to feel like they're getting real information, not a sales pitch.

What I'm Looking For
You know CapCut, or a comparable mobile/desktop editing tool, well enough to produce clean finished clips fast. You know how to match text timing to audio. You have Elevenlabs or some extremely natural voices available. You know what a good hook looks like on screen.
You can take a written script and make creative decisions about pacing, text placement, and footage selection without needing me to d ---------- every detail. You follow brand direction closely the first few weeks, then need less hand-holding over time.
You communicate clearly. If something in the brief is confusing, you ask before you produce. You don't deliver four hours of work built on a wrong assumption.
You are honest about your pace. I'd rather know you can do 5 clean clips than promise 8 and deliver half-finished work.

Tools
CapCut is preferred. If you use a different tool and can produce the same quality output, tell me what it is. I'll provide scripts, direction, book mockups, etc I may want used. Stock footage sourcing is part of your job.

Hours and Pay
4-5 hours per week. $5/hour. Materials delivered to you Monday. Clips back to me by Friday.
This is a starting point. As sales grow, I'll expand your hours, tasks and raise your rate. I'm also building toward handing off more of this workflow over time, including scheduling and eventually research. Reliable people move into bigger roles. I'm not looking to replace someone who performs.

How to Apply
Send me two things:

Two to three examples of faceless short-form videos you've edited. TikTok, Reels, Pinterest video, YouTube Shorts. Any niche, but rather Business; Links or file downloads.
Answer this in two to three sentences: A script gives you a hook, four bullet points of information, and a call to action. Walk me through how you d ---------- what goes on screen versus what stays off screen.

Applications without both will not be reviewed.
