The Shopify & eBay eCommerce Content and Catalogue Manager is responsible for the accuracy, structure, optimisation, and performance of Uniqleen’s online product catalogue across Shopify and eBay.
This role owns product data integrity, product content creation, product listings, collection/category structure, on-site SEO execution, internal linking, digital merchandising, and eBay inventory/listing management to improve search visibility, navigation clarity, customer experience, and conversion performance.
Uniqleen is primarily a B2C eCommerce business, with a less complex setup than a large B2B catalogue, but the role still requires strong attention to detail, strong Shopify experience, strong product content skills, and the ability to manage product information consistently across multiple sales channels.
This role also requires the ability to use AI tools responsibly as part of a controlled eCommerce content workflow, including drafting, rewriting, improving, checking, and scaling product content without compromising accuracy, originality, or product data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Catalogue Management
* Create, update, and maintain product listings across Shopify and eBay, including titles, descriptions, bullet points, variants, images, PDFs, specifications, pricing, and inventory information.
* Manage product data in bulk using Shopify CSVs or third-party tools such as Matrixify/Excelify where required.
* Maintain accurate product titles, descriptions, images, SKUs, barcodes, pricing, stock status, tags, metafields, and product categorisation.
* Manage product variants such as sizes, colours, pack quantities, fragrances, bundle options, or other relevant variations.
* Ensure product information is consistent, accurate, and customer-friendly across all sales channels.
* Maintain clear naming conventions that align with SEO, customer search behaviour, and internal catalogue structure.
* Prevent duplicate products, inconsistent URLs, incorrect variants, and duplicated listing content.
* Ensure discontinued, out-of-stock, or replaced products are handled correctly across Shopify and eBay.
* Maintain catalogue accuracy across product names, specifications, pack sizes, product types, usage details, and channel-specific listing requirements.
2. Product Content Creation & Optimisation
* Write, edit, and optimise product titles, descriptions, bullet points, specifications, and SEO metadata for Shopify and eBay.
* Create clear, accurate, customer-friendly product content that explains product type, key benefits, pack size, usage, compatibility, and important specifications.
* Ensure product copy is suitable for B2C customers and written in a way that supports both search visibility and conversion.
* Adapt product content appropriately between Shopify and eBay, ensuring eBay listings include strong titles, item specifics, marketplace-friendly descriptions, and relevant keywords.
* Maintain a consistent tone, structure, and naming convention across the product catalogue.
* Rewrite supplier/manufacturer content into clean, original, useful product copy while avoiding duplicate content and unsupported claims.
* Ensure all product claims, technical details, safety information, dimensions, sizes, ingredients, compatibility, and pack information are checked against reliable source material before publishing.
* Create and maintain content templates for different product types to keep product pages consistent and scalable.
* Ensure product descriptions and bullet points are useful, factual, easy to scan, and aligned with customer buying intent.
* Improve existing product content where descriptions are thin, duplicated, unclear, overly technical, or not optimised for customer search behaviour.
3. AI-Assisted eCommerce Content Workflow
* Use AI tools responsibly to support product content creation, SEO optimisation, bulk content drafting, title refinement, description rewriting, bullet point generation, keyword expansion, and catalogue clean-up.
* Create effective AI prompts and workflows that produce structured, accurate, brand-appropriate eCommerce content.
* Review, edit, fact-check, and improve AI-generated content before publishing.
* Use AI to increase efficiency without compromising accuracy, originality, compliance, or product data integrity.
* Avoid publishing unverified AI-generated claims, incorrect specifications, duplicated content, generic low-value copy, or unsupported product statements.
* Maintain human quality control over all AI-assisted product content.
* Use AI to improve workflow efficiency while still relying on verified product data, supplier information, manufacturer specifications, and internal catalogue standards.
* Build repeatable content workflows for scaling product updates across large batches of products while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
4. Shopify Collection & Site Architecture
* Build and maintain logical Shopify collection structures.
* Optimise categories and collections for customer navigation and search engine indexing.
* Create and manage smart collections, manual collections, product filters, and tags.
* Maintain internal linking between related products, categories, and collections.
* Improve navigation and product discovery across the website.
* Ensure best-selling, seasonal, promotional, and high-priority products are merchandised effectively.
* Monitor and improve collection layouts to support conversion and customer browsing behaviour.
* Maintain clean taxonomy across products, collections, product types, tags, and filters.
5. eBay Listing & Inventory Management
* Create, update, and optimise eBay product listings.
* Ensure eBay titles, item specifics, categories, images, descriptions, pricing, postage details, and returns information are accurate and competitive.
* Manage eBay inventory accuracy, including stock availability, SKU matching, and listing status.
* Monitor overselling risks and ensure Shopify/eBay stock levels remain aligned where applicable.
* Update eBay listings for price changes, discontinued items, new products, bundle changes, or promotional updates.
* Maintain consistency between Shopify product data and eBay listing content.
* Optimise eBay listings using relevant keywords, item specifics, and category best practices.
* Identify and resolve eBay listing errors, suppressed listings, policy issues, duplicate listings, and inventory discrepancies.
* Support eBay marketplace performance by improving listing quality, visibility, and customer-facing product information.
* Ensure Shopify SKUs and eBay SKUs are correctly mapped where inventory sync or channel integration tools are used.
6. On-Site SEO Execution
* Optimise Shopify product titles, meta descriptions, URLs, headings, and product copy.
* Identify keyword opportunities relevant to B2C customer search intent.
* Improve product and collection content for organic search visibility.
* Manage redirects for discontinued, renamed, or replaced products.
* Avoid duplicate content and poor URL structures.
* Collaborate on structured data/schema improvements using Shopify apps or theme settings where required.
* Ensure product content is clear, useful, and aligned with both SEO and customer buying intent.
* Improve thin, duplicated, or manufacturer-supplied product content to better support organic search performance.
7. Digital Merchandising
* Optimise collection layouts and product ordering.
* Improve cross-sell, upsell, related product, and bundle logic.
* Highlight popular products, value packs, seasonal products, new arrivals, and promotional ranges.
* Monitor product visibility within Shopify collections and eBay search results.
* Improve customer product discovery through clear categories, filters, tags, and related product links.
* Ensure product pages clearly communicate key selling points, pack sizes, usage information, specifications, and benefits.
* Support sales performance by improving product presentation and catalogue structure.
* Identify opportunities to improve product pages through better images, clearer copy, stronger bullet points, improved specifications, and better related-product logic.
8. Performance Monitoring
Use Shopify Analytics, GA4, eBay Seller Hub, and other relevant reporting tools to:
* Monitor product performance.
* Identify underperforming products, collections, and eBay listings.
* Improve product page engagement and conversion rates.
* Track traffic, bounce rate, engagement, add-to-cart rate, and product discovery issues.
* Identify gaps in product content, images, titles, pricing, or listing quality.
* Recommend structured improvements based on data.
* Monitor stock-related performance issues, such as out-of-stock products affecting sales.
* Review the impact of product content updates, catalogue improvements, and eBay listing optimisation.
9. App, Backend & Channel Management
* Manage Shopify apps related to product data, SEO, reviews, search, filtering, feeds, inventory, or merchandising.
* Support Shopify/eBay integration tools where applicable.
* Test product, price, inventory, content, or app updates before publishing.
* Coordinate with developers or external support where required.
* Understand Shopify backend limitations and marketplace requirements without needing to perform custom development.
* Maintain clean product data feeds where required for marketplace or shopping channel use.
* Troubleshoot product sync, inventory sync, or listing feed issues between Shopify and eBay.
* Use bulk-editing tools and structured data workflows to reduce manual product management errors.
Required Experience
* Minimum 4–5 years hands-on Shopify experience required.
* Minimum 5–7 years total eCommerce experience preferred.
* Experience managing eBay listings and marketplace inventory required.
* Experience managing medium to large product catalogues, ideally 500+ SKUs.
* Proven experience writing and optimising product titles, descriptions, bullet points, specifications, and SEO metadata for eCommerce.
* Ability to turn supplier/manufacturer information into clear, original, customer-friendly product content.
* Experience using AI tools to assist with eCommerce content creation, catalogue optimisation, SEO copywriting, product description rewriting, or bulk product content workflows.
* Strong ability to review, edit, fact-check, and quality-control AI-assisted content before publication.
* Understanding of how to use AI efficiently without relying on it blindly or publishing inaccurate product information.
* Strong understanding of Shopify product architecture, variants, collections, tags, metafields, and redirects.
* Experience using Shopify CSVs or bulk product management tools such as Matrixify/Excelify.
* Strong understanding of eBay listing optimisation, item specifics, categories, inventory accuracy, and marketplace listing standards.
* Experience maintaining product content across multiple eCommerce channels.
