Shopify Liquid Developer (multi brand theme customization)

About Us

We operate a growing multi-brand merchandise business serving rock, metal, and alternative bands in the U.S. We handle design, production, warehousing, fulfillment, and online merchandising for multiple artists—each needing their own branded storefront and seamless fan experience.

We are now building a centralized Shopify backend that supports multiple band-branded frontend “sub-stores” using subdomains. We need a skilled Shopify developer who understands Liquid, custom theme logic, and dynamic templating.

This is not a VA role.

We are looking for a true Shopify theme/Liquid specialist who can help architect and maintain a scalable system.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll be helping us build & maintain a single Shopify store that powers multiple branded storefronts, using subdomains such as:

bandname.fullvolume.store ? band-branded version of our theme

Your responsibilities include:

Implement conditional theme logic using request.host to load different brand elements per band

Create and maintain reusable header/footer/product templates for multiple bands

Configure metafields for band branding (logo, colors, return_url, etc.)

Style and customize collection pages, product pages, homepages, and cart drawers per band

Set up subdomain routing inside Shopify (and guide bands on DNS changes)

Customize the Shopify thank-you page via Checkout Extensibility (band-branded messages + return buttons)

Build scalable, clean theme architecture that can support 20–100+ bands

Optimize theme performance and maintain high code quality

Collaborate on new features and expansions as we scale

Required Skills (Must-Have)

You must have strong experience with:

Adding custom thank-you content

Rendering brand-specific messaging after checkout

???? HTML, CSS, JavaScript (front-end)

Ability to modify components, cart drawers, and UI elements

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with multi-brand or multi-merchant Shopify setups

Familiarity with Klaviyo (optional)

UI/UX design sense (for branding consistency)

Experience building reusable theme systems

Performance optimization (lazy loading, minification, etc.)
