I’m looking for a reliable Shopify e-commerce specialist to first fix and complete my existing online store, and then continue as an ongoing operations manager for the business.
The Shopify store is already built, but it is not fully optimised or fully functional yet. The first phase of the role will focus on auditing and fixing the store so it is fully ready for sales. This includes fixing theme and layout issues, ensuring the mobile version works properly, setting up and testing the checkout process, configuring shipping, payments, and taxes, installing and setting up necessary Shopify apps, improving product page structure and navigation, and making sure the full customer journey (add to cart ? checkout ? confirmation) works smoothly.
After the store is fully functional, this role will continue long-term as an operations position. Responsibilities will include uploading and managing products, processing and tracking customer orders, coordinating with suppliers or manufacturers, updating product information such as pricing and descriptions, handling basic customer service inquiries, monitoring store performance and reporting issues, and assisting with general e-commerce administration tasks.
The ideal candidate must have strong Shopify experience, including both setup and ongoing store management. You should be able to troubleshoot and fix issues (not just upload products), have experience working with e-commerce or dropshipping stores, be reliable and detail-oriented, and be able to work independently with good communication. A long-term mindset is very important as this is not just a short-term project.
No full store build is required as the website already exists. No immediate product sourcing is required in the initial phase.
Please include in your application examples of Shopify stores you have worked on, the specific tasks you handled, any experience managing orders or e-commerce operations, how you would approach fixing a Shopify store that isn’t fully working, and your availability for long-term work.
The ideal person for this role is someone who understands how to run an e-commerce store end-to-end, not just upload products, but help manage and operate the business properly.
