- Own and resolve complex WordPress and Web Hosting related support tickets
- Implement front-end and back-end improvements across our WordPress-based platforms
- Work with custom themes, page builders, and plugins to enhance performance and usability
- Support ongoing styling and customization efforts (e.g., iframe styling, consistent headers)
- Collaborate with the internal team to implement and maintain tools like the feedback system and reputation platform
- Contribute to the scalability of internal tools and future customer-facing dashboards (e.g., tagging systems for ticket management)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
- Strong understanding of both front-end (HTML, CSS, JS) and back-end (PHP, MySQL) development
- Familiarity with major page builders (Breakdance, Elementor, WPBakery, etc.)
- Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development
- Solid grasp of performance optimization and responsive design
- Understanding of DevOps or willingness to learn (e.g., deployment workflows, environments)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
Bonus Points
Experience with Support or CRM Tools:
- Familiarity with tools like Help Scout and HubSpot is a big plus. At Wolf IQ, we’re building and integrating internal tools to manage support tickets, customer communications, and review automation—experience working with or developing for these types of systems will help you hit the ground running.
- Understanding how to implement or integrate tagging systems for tickets or CRM workflows will be helpful. We’re building a smarter way to manage and prioritize support interactions using metadata and customer history.
Internal Tool Development or Integrations:
- If you’ve helped build internal dashboards, admin panels, or workflow tools, especially within WordPress or using modern JS frameworks (e.g., React), we’d love to hear about it. You'll occasionally collaborate with our internal tools team on projects like the Feedback Tool, Reputation Management Tool, or the upcoming Wolf IQ Hub.
API Integration Experience:
- Bonus if you’ve worked with external APIs (e.g., Google Reviews API, CRM APIs, or payment gateways) to enhance WordPress functionality or automate processes.
Remote Team Experience:
- We’re a distributed team. If you’ve worked remotely and are comfortable managing your time and communication asynchronously, you’ll thrive here.
