Senior Web Designer (Conversion-Focused, UX/UI)

We are De Digitale Timmerman, a web design and marketing agency based in the Netherlands. We build websites and run marketing for Dutch clients across many different niches. We do not build the biggest websites (company's between 1-20 person is our targetting), but we build them the right way: for our client's customer, not for our client. // Who we are looking for //
We are looking for a senior web designer. Not a junior, not someone still learning the basics. Someone who has finished serious projects for other companies and can prove it with a portfolio. Someone who knows how to research a client, research that client's customer, and then design something sharp that actually converts.
You design based on the client. You understand that every niche is different and you know how to adapt to different types of clients.

// What you will do //
- Design websites in Figma (we are open to other tools if you can show us something better)
- Research the client and the client's customer before you design
- Build sections that are conversion-focused
- Write clean, conversion-focused English copy for the sections you design, using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Gemini
- Make sure that English copy can be clearly turned into Dutch (you do not need to speak Dutch, but you do need to understand how to convert your English into clear Dutch using AI)
- Apply basic SEO so the text and structure are set up correctly

// Requirements (must have) //
- Senior-level experience with a portfolio of finished, real projects you can show us
Fluent English
- Strong skills with AI tools to produce sharp, conversion-focused English copy based on your own design sections
- The ability to turn that English into clear Dutch using AI tools
- Basic SEO knowledge (you know how to place and structure text correctly)
Figma
- Your own creativity. We do not want designers who lean 100% on AI. We want designers who are open to new tools and change, but who still bring real creative thinking to the design process.
