JOB OVERVIEW

Overview
MOD BIKES is looking for a highly skilled Senior Video Editor to join our team full-time. We’re searching for someone who understands how to create content that not only looks great, but also performs.

This role is heavily focused on editing high-converting ads, cinematic product videos, TikToks/Reels, YouTube content, and brand storytelling pieces that help drive engagement and sales. We need someone with strong creative instincts, excellent pacing and storytelling ability, and a deep understanding of modern content trends across social media and e-commerce.
You should be comfortable taking a project from raw footage to polished final deliverable with minimal oversight while maintaining a high creative standard and strong attention to detail.

Experience with CapCut is required, though advanced experience in equivalent professional editing platforms is also highly valued.

If you also have strong photo editing skills - including studio retouching, lifestyle image editing, color correction, and e-commerce image preparation - that is a major plus.

We’re looking for a long-term creative partner who can help shape the visual identity and storytelling direction of MOD BIKES.

Key Responsibilities
1. Edit high-quality short-form and long-form content for:
- Paid ads
- TikTok/Reels
- YouTube
- Product overview videos
- Brand storytelling content
2. Create edits that align with MOD BIKES’ brand identity, marketing goals, and performance objectives.
3. Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative team to develop and refine content concepts.
4. Contribute creative input on pacing, hooks, storytelling structure, music selection, transitions, and overall video strategy.
5. Organize footage, project files, and creative assets efficiently across multiple ongoing projects.
6. Deliver polished content on schedule while maintaining high production quality and consistency.
7. Stay current on editing trends, platform trends, and high-performing content styles across social media and D2C brands.
8. (Bonus) Support photo editing workflows including:
- Retouching
- Color correction
- White background removal
- Lifestyle photo enhancements
- E-commerce image preparation

Key Requirements
1. Advanced to expert-level video editing skills in CapCut or equivalent professional editing software.
2. Strong understanding of performance-driven content and marketing-focused storytelling.
3. Proven experience editing for D2C, e-commerce, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
4. Strong sense of pacing, composition, sound design, and emotional storytelling.
5. Ability to independently manage projects from concept to final delivery.
6. Excellent creative judgment and attention to detail.
7. Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).
8. Must be available for real-time collaboration and video meetings during Central Time (CT) business hours.
9. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Not Required)
Photo editing experience (studio and lifestyle photography).
Motion graphics or graphic design experience.
Experience creating high-performing social media ads.
Familiarity with YouTube editing and retention-focused storytelling.
Experience working with automotive, cycling, outdoor, lifestyle, or adventure brands.
