Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to take full ownership of design across our marketplace platform — covering web and mobile applications. This is a remote role with the potential to evolve into a full-time, on-premises leadership position based on performance.

You will work directly with the CTO, Product Owner, and CEO, playing a strategic role in shaping the user experience for both B2B and B2C customers. From designing seamless procurement journeys to optimizing onboarding and vendor flows, you will drive continuous improvement through modern UX practices and data-backed decisions.

If you demonstrate strong leadership, you will also build and lead a future design team as we scale.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the UX/UI design of core platform features across desktop and mobile applications.

Own the full design process: user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI.

Design intuitive flows for RFQs, vendor onboarding, procurement, search/filter, and checkout processes.

Work closely with engineering, product, and business leadership to align design decisions with platform goals.

Continuously improve user experiences using insights from analytics, industry trends, and best UX practices.

Develop and manage a scalable design system and UI component library.

Design responsive interfaces for both left-to-right and right-to-left (Arabic) layouts.

Conduct usability testing, feedback sessions, and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and iterate quickly.

Keep up with current UI/UX trends and apply modern patterns to improve engagement and conversion.

Prepare for and potentially lead a small team of designers as the product scales.

Requirements
5+ years of UX/UI experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design for eCommerce, marketplaces, or transactional web platforms.

Proficient in mobile app design (iOS and Android), including responsiveness and native UI patterns.

Deep knowledge of UX design principles, usability, and visual hierarchy.

Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent design tools.

Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working with tech and business stakeholders.

Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, GA4, Mixpanel or equivalent for behavior analysis.

Understanding of HTML/CSS concepts for design-dev alignment (no coding required).

Experience with RTL interface design and localization (Arabic/English).

Strong command of English; Arabic is a plus.

Nice to Have
Experience in construction-tech, industrial supply, or logistics platforms.

Ability to mentor or manage designers in a growing team environment.

Familiarity with Agile workflows and product sprint cycles.
