Senior Software Technical Project Manager

We are a company that produces software used in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Our main products center around chemical inventory management and the management of chemical synthesis outsourcing.

We have a small team of programmers and technical support representatives. We are looking for a senior and experienced technical project manager to manage our software development projects. The ideal candidate for this position would posses at least a Batchelor's degree in chemistry and have a working knowledge, and perspective, on a number of the core technologies and systems that support our software and company. We are, of course, willing to train the successful candidate in areas where they are unfamiliar. The most important factor is that the person chosen for this position has a passion, interest and background in chemistry and has at least a background in one or more programming and database technologies. The successful candidate does not have to be expert in all the below listed areas and technologies but will have the ability to learn and comprehend these as well as work with and manage technical resources that are expert in these areas. Having solid project management and documentation skills is extremely important for this position. Management of programmers and technical support members is also important. Overseeing the creation of procedural and software deployment documentation and customer communication is also important for this position.
