Full-time independent contractor position that is 100% remote.
Pay is dependent upon experience and time commitment. Anticipated pay will be USD 360 to USD 600 per week (20,600 PHP to 33,500 PHP per week) paid bi-weekly.
Scope of Work:
We are a growing CPA firm that specializes in all aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, and controllership for nonprofit organizations with operating budgets of $5,000,000 or less. We are a 100% remote CPA firm.
We require an English-speaking Senior Nonprofit Accountant with a Philippine CPA Certificate and familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports and assistance with all aspects of accounting & bookkeeping for our clients located in the United States.
As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for all your own expenses related to computer equipment, internet, and cyber security costs.
We will provide access to software required to perform duties as they relate to the responsibilities below.

Must be available to work from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm EST.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing timely and accurate monthly financial statements and supplemental reports for clients according to US GAAP.
Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations.
Preparing and posting journal entries related to payroll and month-end accruals (such as prepaid expenses, investment income allocations to restricted funds, fixed asset depreciation, lease and/or loan amortization, and classification of Net Assets).
Review and assist with federal and state governmental filing requirements for tax-exempt status maintenance, payroll tax payments and filings, sales tax payments and filings, and independent contractor filings.
Assist with annual budgeting for clients.
Prepare reports for clients related to grant awards, transactions, and balances.
Assist with audit preparation for governmental compliance and independent financial audits.
Mentoring the firm’s and/or clients’ bookkeeping team.
Code and post daily transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Will attend regular meetings with the firm tea
Qualifications:
Proficient with English (both written and spoken).
Have 5+ years of experience as an Accountant with US GAAP, preferably 100% as a Nonprofit Accountant.
Holds a CPA Certificate in the Philippines.
