Senior Business Systems Analyst

Salary: $1,500 USD/month
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM M/PST (40 hours per week)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead key projects that improve operations across multiple departments. You'll drive the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of system solutions while collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as lead analyst on major IT projects or complex project phases
- Gather and document business and technical requirements
- Customize workflows and integrate systems across platforms
- Evaluate, select, design, and implement new system solutions
- Act as liaison between vendors, end users, and IT teams
- Lead system testing, develop test plans/scenarios, and document results
- Facilitate system demos and design discussions
- Perform advanced data analysis, process modeling, and root cause analysis
- Provide subject matter expertise and coach others on best practices
- Participate in vendor management, project management, and stakeholder communication
- Translate business requirements into functional and design specifications

Ideal Candidate Traits:

- 2+ years’ experience as the sole or lead analyst on multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tech to non-technical audiences
- Experience with structured testing, applications analysis/design, and process documentation
- Ability to work independently while also excelling in team environments
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and shifting between contributor and leadership roles
- Experience in healthcare, care management, accounting workflows, or IT security is a plus
- Familiarity with tools like SQL, EDI/ETL, metrics/KPIs, and Visio mapping
- Certifications like CAPM or CCBA are preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience)
