Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Philippines-based finance professional to support Australian clients in a blended bookkeeping and accounting capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong payroll experience (MYOB, XERO, TANDA) together with practical bookkeeping and transactional accounting experience (Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant). Fixed term 25 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Payroll processing (MYOB and Xero). Using TANDA for time sheeting and rostering so preferred candidate with have knowledge of all 3 software.
• Accounts payable processing
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• BAS/IAS/Superannuation preparation and timely payments
• Journal entries
• Month-end processing
• General bookkeeping support
• Assistance with budget preparation, review and variance analysis
• Data entry and transaction processing
• Assisting with month end management reporting
• Ad hoc tasks

Preferred Candidate Indicators:
• Currently employed or recently employed in a professional services environment (ideally Australian accounting firm)
• Existing Australian client exposure
• Prior remote work experience
• Stable internet and home office setup
• Ability to take on additional hours if needed (scale up)
Essential Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience
• Experience working with Australian accounting firms
• Experience with not-for-profit entities highly desirable
