JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to support a growing U.S.-based company in the construction and building services industry.

This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to the CEO, ideal for someone who can confidently manage full-cycle bookkeeping, support leadership with accurate financial reporting, and help strengthen financial operations in a fast-paced remote environment.

This is more than a traditional bookkeeping role—it’s a strong opportunity for someone who wants long-term growth and the chance to take on broader finance responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting operations
Maintain reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, and month-end close
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
Support cash flow tracking, expense management, and financial reporting for leadership
Improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and internal controls as the business scales
Coordinate with external U.S.-based CPAs, payroll providers, and accounting partners
Provide timely financial support and reporting directly to the COO

Qualifications
5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a senior-level role
Required: Experience working remotely with U.S.-based companies or leadership teams
Strong understanding of U.S. bookkeeping practices, including reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting
Proven ability to manage full-cycle bookkeeping independently
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Able to work independently, stay responsive, and manage priorities in a remote environment
High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in construction, subcontracting, field services, or project-based businesses
Familiarity with job costing or construction bookkeeping
Experience working with U.S.-based CPAs, payroll providers, and tax/accounting partners
Experience in a growing or founder-led business
Interest in growing into a broader finance leadership role over time
