Senior Apparel Graphics Artist

Promofect is a screen printing, embroidery, and promotional products company based in New Jersey. We serve corporate teams, schools, first responders, and businesses of all sizes. We run our own in-house decoration facility and manage online merch stores for organizations across the country.

About the Role
This role is specifically for someone with hands-on experience in the decorated apparel industry. If you have not worked in screen printing, embroidery, or promotional products, this is not the right fit.

You will handle production art and mockups, but you will also coordinate work across our outsourced art team, stay ahead of downtime by finding proactive ways to add value, and look for ways to use AI and modern tools to make our art process faster and better.

What You Will Do

Production work:
- Create accurate customer mockups and press-ready production files for screen printing and embroidery
- Apply proper color separations, underbase considerations, and print specs
- Ensure every file that goes to production is correct the first time

Team coordination:
- Distribute work to our outsourced art team and review their output
- Maintain quality and consistency across all jobs
- Keep the art queue moving without delays

Proactive work during downtime:
- Review customer accounts and identify opportunities to pitch new design concepts to the sales team
- Audit active merch stores and recommend design or presentation improvements
- Bring ideas without being asked

Technology and process improvement:
- Identify and implement AI tools that speed up mockup creation, design concepting, or file prep
- Share what works and help build it into our standard process

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in decorated apparel production art, screen printing, embroidery, or promotional products. This is a requirement, not a preference.
- Strong command of Adobe Illustrator and other relevant design software
- Understanding of screen printing production requirements including color separations and file specs
- Self-directed and able to manage your own workload without hand-holding
- Comfortable coordinating with and reviewing work from other artists
- AI-curious, you either already use AI tools in your workflow or you are actively learning them
- Portfolio that includes real decorated apparel work
