JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of
managing complex accounting, financial, and analytical functions across multiple platforms and clients.
The ideal candidate is investigative, organized, and experienced with messy books, balance sheet
cleanup, and multi-client environments. All work is performed under the supervision of the Managing Director of Accounting, who reviews all final adjustments.

Language Requirement — Critical
This position requires professional-level spoken and written English proficiency. You may
potentially communicate directly with U.S.-based clients via email, Zoom, and phone. Clear,
confident, and grammatically correct written and spoken English is non-negotiable. Candidates must
be comfortable leading client calls, writing professional emails, and explaining financial concepts in
plain English.

Key Responsibilities

Full charge Bookkeeping
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end, and year-end close
processes simultaneously for multiple clients using third-party apps
• Prepare Forms 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, and other information returns
• Perform bank, credit card, and merchant reconciliations (Shopify, Stripe, PayPal) monthly
• Manage payroll processing across platforms (Gusto, TriNet, Rippling)

Accounting
• Prepare client-ready financial statements, reporting packages
• Support clients through accounting system integrations, platform migrations, and ongoing system

Cleanup, Catch-Up Tasks
• Lead historical cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projects in QuickBooks Online for fiscal years
as assigned
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts that have never been reconciled
• Post missing expense transactions and research/correct overstated loan balances
• Investigate discrepancies, unmatched transactions, and duplicate entries in the general ledger
• Prepare clean workpapers, organized reconciliation schedules, and supporting documentation for
manager review

Client Systems & Technology
• Manage and optimize QuickBooks Online
• Navigate and support ERP platforms: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navigator)
and/or NetSuite
• Support Ariba, Transcepta, and SPS Commerce vendor integration processes

Financial Analysis & Excel
• Build and maintain client financial dashboards (cash flow, AR aging, AP projections) monthly
• Deliver monthly budget vs. actual variance reports with commentary for at least 80% of clients
• Support clients with rolling forecasts, scenario planning, or breakeven analysis at least quarterly
• Demonstrate mastery of PivotTables, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data validation

Advisory & Process Excellence
• Act as a trusted partner to U.S. clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes, improve internal controls, and increase efficiency
• Suggest process or efficiency improvements
• Assist in audit preparation, reviews, and special projects
• Communicate questions and issues clearly, proactively, and in professional English

Qualifications
Required
• Availability: Must be available 9am-5pm Monday-Friday PST time zone
• Education: Minimum education-bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Certification: QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified
• Experience: 5+ years full general ledger management i.e., month/year end closing
activities, journal entries, chart of account maintenance, workpaper support, etc.
• Specific
Experience: Bookkeeping cleanup and/or catch-up work for messy, unreconciled books, loan
accounting, prepaid and fixed asset schedule maintenance
• Technology: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH,
XLOOKUP, financial modeling). Zoom, Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
• Competencies: Highly organized, detailed, ability to work on multiple clients using multiple
platforms simultaneously with minimum supervision. A self-starter who can identify
and offer suggestions for improvement

Preferred
• Advanced educational degrees
• Certifications:
a. Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
b. NetSuite SuiteFoundation Certification
• Familiarity with Double (formerly Keeper), ---------- , Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Xero, EDI, and Gusto
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navigator) and/or NetSuite
• Experience with Ariba, Transcepta, and SPS Commerce
• Advanced 1099 and vendor compliance tasks and filings
