Position Summary

The Sales and Customer Support Representative at Highland Park Lapidary is responsible for building strong, lasting customer relationships that enable us to understand their needs and create offers that support their endeavors as lapidary artists. The primary focus of this role is to nurture customer relationships, address their needs effectively, and foster lifelong partnerships.

Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with Technical Support, Finance, Marketing, Order Fulfillment, Warehouse, and Business Process departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience. This commitment to excellence is a key driver of Highland Park Lapidary’s position as the largest and fastest-growing lapidary equipment manufacturer.

We seek ambitious self-starters skilled in connecting with customers, identifying opportunities, and taking proactive steps to grow through collaboration with team members.

Objectives

Build and nurture lasting customer relationships by understanding and addressing their needs.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to resolve customer issues and technical concerns promptly and effectively.
Identify areas for improvement in customer experience and implement solutions in collaboration with other departments.
Drive the sales process from proposal to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Identify opportunities for upselling providing solutions that align with customer needs.
Manage customer communications through phone, email, chat, and SMS to provide timely and professional support.

Competencies

Fluency in English is a must. Native speakers are encouraged to apply.
Strong ability to understand and address customer needs, recommend relevant products, and deliver clear communication.
Skilled in handling objections, providing appropriate solutions, and following up rigorously to ensure resolution.
Exceptional communication skills across phone, email, chat, and SMS platforms.
Proactive and results-driven approach to sales and customer support.
Excellent collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Highly organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor in all customer interactions.
Ability to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and inquiries.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 5 years of Sales and Customer Support experience (e.g., Sales Representative, Customer Support).
BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth through personalized customer interactions and effective sales techniques.
Experience managing a diverse portfolio of customers, building long-term relationships, and increasing customer retention.
Expertise in identifying customer pain points and offering tailored solutions to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
Skilled in leveraging CRM systems and analytics to monitor customer engagement, identify opportunities, and enhance sales strategies.
Demonstrated ability to manage escalated customer concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to exceed customer expectations.
