SALARY
$4 USD/hour base + $5 USD per qualified booked call
(~20–25 hrs/week ? $350–400/mo base; strong setters realistically earn $550–700+/mo with bookings)
TYPE / HOURS
Part-time, ~20–25 hours/week, spread across all 7 days (including weekends). Hours are on U.S. Eastern time, which means this is a night-shift role in the Philippines. Only apply if you genuinely want to work U.S. hours.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We help people in the U.S. claim their Canadian citizenship by descent. People apply through our website and give us their phone number — so every lead you contact has already raised their hand. This is NOT cold calling.
Your job is to reach these warm leads fast, by text AND phone, build trust, answer their questions, and book them into a 15-minute call with our team.
Here's the catch we need you to solve: right now, replies are piling up and leads go quiet. A lot of them are unsure if we're legit (you'll literally get "how do I know this is real?" and "your number comes up as a scam"). Text alone isn't closing the gap — we need someone who will pick up the phone, sound warm and credible, and get the call booked. The setters who win at this do both: a quick text to warm it up, then a call.
You'll work through our texting platform (SendBlue) and call from a U.S. number we provide.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Respond FAST to inbound leads — speed is everything
Run the winning sequence: send a quick intro text, then call the lead (we'll train you on this)
Talk to leads on the phone: build rapport, answer common questions, calmly handle "is this legit?"
Qualify leads with a few simple questions (e.g., do they have a Canadian-born parent or grandparent)
Book qualified leads into a 15-minute call on our calendar
Follow up by text and call with people who went quiet
Keep the conversation list clean — no lead left unanswered
Log notes and update lead status so nothing slips
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Clear, confident spoken English with a neutral accent — you'll be on the phone with cautious U.S. leads, so they need to trust your voice immediately. (This is the #1 requirement and we will assess it from your video — see below.)
Excellent written English — natural and friendly over text
Comfortable and confident making and taking phone calls (this is a phone-forward role)
Reliable and self-managing across a 7-day schedule — consistency matters more than long hours
Fast and responsive — quick replies and quick dials are what book calls
Experience with chat/SMS, phone, or CRM tools (SendBlue, GoHighLevel, HubSpot, dialers — a plus)
Available on U.S. Eastern hours, including weekends
Stable internet, a quiet place to take calls, a reliable computer, and a good headset
Bonus (not required):
Prior appointment-setting, sales, telemarketing, customer support, or live-chat experience
Experience working with U.S.-based leads or customers
COMPENSATION DETAILS
Base: $4 USD/hour for scheduled hours (~20–25 hrs/week)
Booked-call bonus: $5 USD for every qualified booked call
"Qualified" = the lead confirms a specific date/time, has a real Canadian-born parent or grandparent, and is genuinely interested. (We pay for quality bookings, not junk.)
Paid weekly or bi-weekly (your preference)
Long-term role. Reliable performers get raises and more hours.
HOW TO APPLY (READ CAREFULLY — incomplete applications are deleted)
1. Start your message with the word "MAPLE" at the very top, so I know you actually read this.
2. Record a short custom video (2–3 minutes) — THIS IS REQUIRED. No video = no consideration. In the video:
Introduce yourself on camera, speaking in English so we can hear you clearly
Tell us specifically why YOU are a good fit for THIS role — not a generic intro. Mention that it's a text + phone setting role and that you'd be calling warm leads about Canadian citizenship. Reusing an old generic VA video will be obvious; we want one made for this job.
Briefly describe any experience you have calling or texting leads, setting appointments, or doing sales/support
End with this: pretend a lead just said "How do I know this is even legit?" — say out loud, in your own words, exactly how you'd respond to keep them comfortable and move toward booking a quick call.
Upload it to Google Drive, YouTube (unlisted), or Loom and paste the link.
3. In writing, tell me: your available hours per week, and which days/times (in U.S. Eastern time) you can work.
Applications that don't start with "MAPLE" or don't include the custom video will not be reviewed.
We'll run a short paid trial with real conversations before any long-term offer. Strong setters stay on long-term.
Looking forward to hearing your voice!
