JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to take ownership of organic search performance across our growing portfolio of clients. This is a strategic role where you'll be responsible for developing SEO roadmaps, running audits, guiding content direction, and driving measurable improvements in rankings and traffic.

You'll work closely with our content, development, and paid media teams to make sure SEO is woven into everything we do. We manage clients across a range of industries, so you'll need to be comfortable adapting your approach and balancing multiple accounts at once.

We want someone who thinks beyond just keywords and rankings. You should be able to connect SEO activity to real business outcomes, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and spot opportunities that others might miss.

What You'll Do
- Develop and execute SEO strategies tailored to each client's industry, audience, and goals
- Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, site speed, schema markup, and indexation
- Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to shape content planning
- Manage on-page optimisation including meta data, internal linking, and content structure
- Build and manage link acquisition strategies through outreach, digital PR, and partnerships
- Monitor organic performance using Google Search Console, GA4, and tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush
- Collaborate with content writers and developers to bring SEO recommendations to life
- Deliver monthly performance reports with clear insights, trends, and recommended next steps
- Stay on top of algorithm updates and proactively adjust strategies
- Log all time against client tasks in our project management system

What You'll Bring
- At least 4 years of hands-on SEO experience, covering technical, on-page, and off-page SEO
- A proven track record of improving organic rankings and traffic across multiple clients or brands
- Strong proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one major SEO platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz)
- Experience running technical site audits and translating findings into clear, prioritised action plans
- Agency or multi-client environment experience preferred
- Strong written and spoken English

Nice to Have
- Experience with local SEO, including Google Business Profile optimisation
- Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for hands-on on-page changes
- Experience with reporting or data visualisation tools like Looker Studio

The Kind of Person We're Looking For
- Strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture, not just chase individual keywords
- Confident communicator who can explain SEO in plain language to clients and colleagues
- Self-motivated and organised, comfortable managing multiple accounts without close supervision
- Curious and proactive about staying current with search industry changes
